  1. Hold On

It was the late 70's living in Malibu Colony and when the tide came in it would tear at the bulkheads and threaten to take out the houses.  They called in the National Guard to help us sandbag.  But when the tide was out and the sun was shinning, it was a beautiful day for a disaster.

Lyrics

HOLD ON
Words and Music by John Cannon

Look out across the sea
Dream the space where you can be
With shimmering sunlight on the water
Whitecaps dance in the wind
And the sea gull glides in the blue

Sails float on the horizon
Waves beating on the shore
With shimmering sunlight on the water
Whitecaps dance in the wind
And the seagull glides in the blue

(Hold on, hold on
Hold on) baby hold on
Feel the sea as it surges, (hold on)
Let its energy fill you, (hold on)
(Hold on) while the tide is changing
(Hold on) baby hold on

Warm sun upon your face
Be the magic of this place
With shimmering sunlight on the water
Whitecaps dance in the wind
And the seagull glides in the blue
